      <description>Spintronics Description: This course will focus on spin electronics, or spintronics, which goes beyond conventional electronics by using both the charge and the spin of electrons. Among the topics covered, the course will examine the influence of magnetization states, through magnetoresistance effects, on the electrical behavior of a spintronic device. The course will also introduce the effects of current injection into a device to manipulate its magnetic properties (e.g., changing the direction of magnetization via spin transfer). These effects will serve as a foundation for presenting various spintronic devices in the fields of electronic memories and sensors.</description>
