Photonique Non-linéaire

Nonlinear Photonics

Description: This course offers an open perspective on the physics of nonlinear photonics and constitutes, for any engineer, an essential complement to training related to optical telecommunications or optical information processing. Nonlinear optical phenomena make it possible to design more efficient, more compact, and low-energy devices that perform functions such as frequency conversion and signal processing. The topics covered will address both the fundamental principles and the applications of photonic systems based on nonlinear light–matter interactions.

Learning outcomes: AA1: Acquire a global understanding of photonic systems using nonlinear optical materials – AA2: Master the fundamental mathematical concepts of nonlinear optics – AA3: Dimension and design a nonlinear optical system – AA4: Validate and analyze performance.
